Jim "Duckie" Newcomb

Jim was born and raised in western Oklahoma where he learned to hunt upland birds at an early age. His Grandpa Newcomb was the first to take him hunting. His brother-in-law Lynn Norman and Cousin Chris Newcomb were his constant companions in the field hunting Dove, Quail, Turkey and Pheasant.   Then along came younger cousin Brent Newcomb, who introduced him to the art of duck hunting; he's been hooked ever since.  Jim has raised and trained hundreds of hunting dogs over the years, including retrievers.  He’s very proud of his Black Lab, “Ellie”.  He loves to see that flawless retrieve or solid point performed by dogs he’s trained.  Basically, when it comes to hunting, Jim prefers to stick to the DDT, duck, deer and turkey.

Kaitlyn "Lil Gander" Martin

Kaitlyn lives in central Pennsylvania with her family. At the age of sixteen she is a very accomplished goose hunter. She is knowledgeable in decoy spreads, calls and of course her dogs. She has six hunting dogs, 3 Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, 2 Brittany Spaniels, and a Fox Red Lab. When she was just 4 years-old her dad took her hunting for deer, turkeys, and waterfowl. She has been in love with the outdoors ever since. However, her main focus is goose hunting. She calls along with her dad and is very talented and gifted in the art of calling. She always seems to be in the woods or out in the field.

Steven "SteveO" Christenson

Steven also lives in Greenwood, AR. He’s been a hunter since day one. He can remember in his younger days waking up at the crack of dawn and hopping in his grandpa’s truck to go hunt down that monster buck.  He hunts just about anything that moves. Although he lives in Arkansas he is a big OU fan. He’s a big fan of bow hunting and also enjoys shooting in bow competitions. He doesn’t mind a little fishing now and then. Steven also likes to listen to the dogs run at night while coon hunting.

Dereck Matz

Derek was raised on the family farm in Arapaho, OK and with that came the enjoyment of hunting and fishing. It all started with hunting quail and fishing farm ponds with his dad and grandpa and from that has turned into an obsession. He has two dogs which are a Chocolate Lab and a German Short hair. During the summer he spends his free time on the river or at farm ponds. Then in fall it starts; deer, duck, quail, furbearers, and follows up with the spring gobbler. Some see western Oklahoma as no man’s land but he sees it as Gods Country! Derek is a member of duck and quail unlimited and also alumni of OSU. Go Pokes.

Rachel "RayRay" Bazar

Rachel is wife to D-Baz and daughter of Duckie. She is not only our photographer, but our designer. As far back as she can remember she has been a hunter. She started with quail and has since became hooked on goose and duck hunting. She says she will never forget her first duck hunt with the 410 ga. and she still out shot her ol'dad. More than anything she loves to be out in the woods with the boys.

R.J. "Capgun" Whitworth

Mr. Whitworth from day one has been blessed as a full blooded hunter. He is one of four co-founders and resides in Greenwood, Arkansas. From generation after generation its finally his turn, and as a new father, he hopes to continue the greatest sport on earth. It just doesn’t get any better. From cool spring mornings watching the sun come up, listening to hoot owls, waiting for the first gobble, from an old thunder chicken, to cold winter mornings in freezing temperatures, listening to the sound of whistling wings, seeing that first greenhead cupped over the decoys. To cool fall days down in the Arkansas bottoms and hearing footsteps in the dry leaves, and all of a sudden seeing nothing but big nasty deer horns. Getting to share all of this with family and friends makes it even better.

Veterinary

Brent Newcomb

Brent Newcomb grew up in western Oklahoma, leading the simple life, and enjoying hunting upland game birds with his brother, Brent. Later in life, he entered the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where he developed into the dedicated hunter he is today. Brent thrives as a hunter of all species, thus far primarily deer, hog, duck and turkey, and utilizes various forms including bow, black powder, shotgun and rifle. He will be going on his first pronghorn antelope hunt in Wyoming this fall. Brent is currently a veterinarian, completing his small animal surgical residency at OSU.
